First year - What a joy!

Last year I started this kitchen garden, which is situated in a cold climate in Norway. The garden area is north-east of our house, which means that some of the beds are quite shady. Still, I hope for lots and lots of good food for our family.

This first year has been such a blessing. I've already harvested 6,5 kg potatoes ('Arielle'), 25 garlics ('Vallelado'), 3 kg broad beans ('Witkiem') and 90 onions ('Stuttgarter Riesen').

The greenhouse has provided us with peppers ('Sweet Dreams' and 'Ferenc Tender'), tomatoes ('Gardeners Delight') and cucumbers. And there is much more to come.

This garden is about 50 square meters, contains a small greenhouse, eight straight beds, and a few additional beds in between.

On this blog I'll share some of my experiences from gardening, and hopefully inspire others to start growing food themselves as well.

It's such a blessing!
